Research either the Renaissance or Baroque periods and explore the types of music that were popular during that time. Who were the famous composers of the era? Listen to a few musical pieces and see if you like them. (You can hear some of this music on (www.classicsforkids.com) Compare the music of this period with music from another period in history.
    1. Choose a classical composer who might interest you. (You can find an A-Z list on www.classicsforkids.com) or use another website or book. Write a short biography to share with your class - and don’t forget to listen to his music!
    2. Find a classical concert in your town where you can go and listen to live music. Do one or more of the following before you go: Look up one of the composers, the period of music being played, research one of the instruments used, or listen to the music on CD or online. You will enjoy the concert even more if you do this ahead
